The web app is used primarily as a configuration portal for your phone system (changes to users, departments, call routing, etc), but you can also use it to report on your calls and to access your call recordings and voicemails. The mobile app is used for calling and texting, and to retrieve call recordings and voicemails.
Yes and no. The mobile app is required to place calls and to send and receive text messages. If you don’t care about these features, though, you can receive your calls via call forwarding and do not need to install the mobile app.
