Tresta includes three built-in system groups that control permissions within your phone system.

All Users: Members can only make changes to their own user profile.

Billing Admins: Members are able to view billing invoices, modify the payment method on file and cancel service.

System Admins: Members can make system configuration changes that affect how your business phone system works.

What is a user?

A user is an individual with a unique login to your company’s phone system. A user account is required for anyone that wants to make or receive calls and texts on your business phone number, use the Tresta mobile app, or access items stored in the system like voicemail messages and recordings.

What are the benefits of user groups?

User groups help organize your team members, control access levels, and allow you to route calls and voicemail messages to teams of individuals in a more efficient way than if you tried to manage them each individually. Most customers create user groups for each department in their organization.

Are there any limits to the number of users or user groups?

No, there are no limits to the number of users or user groups you can add to your Tresta account.

Can I call an entire user group at once?

Yes, you can configure Tresta to route callers to a user group, which will ring all of the members of the user group simultaneously. The first one to accept the call will be connected.

Can I set up a voicemail box for a user group?

Yes, user groups come with a built-in voicemail box. You can customize the greeting that plays on each voicemail box from within the Tresta web app.
