  • 70 percent of organizations have at least one app in the cloud.
  • A surprising 90 percent of organizations either have one app in the cloud today, or are planning to use the cloud within 1-3 years.
  • The top three goals that drove businesses to invest in the cloud were lowering total cost of ownership (42 percent), replacing on-premise legacy technology (35 percent), and enabling business continuity (33 percent).
  • By 2018, the typical IT department will have less than half (40 percent) of their apps and platforms residing in on-premise infrastructure.
